Cryotubes for Storage of Biological Material

Designed for the storage of biological material, human or animal cells, at temperatures as low as -190°C. The cap features a long skirt for one hand aseptic techniques, a super fast thread design that allows tightening or removal with a mere 1-1/4 turn, and a thread design that will not contribute to possible contamination. A specially designed lip inside the cap provides a leakproof seal even at very low temperatures.

These cryotubes are also available with an exclusive silicone seal fitted at the base of the cap to ensure a positive seal. The closures and tubes are both manufactured of polypropylene having the same coefficient of expansion, which further enhances the leak-proof qualities of these vials at changing temperatures. The tubes are provided with side graduations and a white marking area for sample identification. Tubes can also be color coded by using the colored cap inserts. Compatible with most storage systems, all tubes are sterilized by gamma-irradiation and are packaged in unique tamper-proof, resealable, safety-lock bags of 100.

Workstation Rack (One-Handed)
This handy autoclavable rack can hold up to 50 CryoTubes or Cryo-Micro Tubes. Thanks to an innovative universal locking base, the tubes (self-standing models only) will securely lock in each well and will not turn, allowing you to easily unscrew the caps with one hand. Each rack is compact, stackable, and supported by five anti-skid rubber feet. Each well of the rack is identified with an alphanumeric index. Dimensions: 8"W x 4"D x 1"H
